Women's blood pressure drops in the five days before their period begins

During ovulation, a woman's blood pressure and body temperature rise. If the egg released from the ovary is not fertilized, blood pressure drops and hits its lowest point in the five days before a woman gets her menstrual period. Once a woman's period begins, her blood pressure rebounds. Women who already have low blood pressure may be more likely to faint in the days leading up to their period and should pay extra attention to being adequately hydrated and to sleeping and eating properly.
